Heart of Columbia Chorus thrives because of the energy and style of the members who have stepped up to lead. Here are a few of the people who make our chorus a success:
Virginia King is a long-time member of Sweet Adelines, having served as chorus director of many choruses on both the East and West Coasts. Her quartet, The Sugar Cones, was a regional winner in the '70s and competed in International in Salt Lake City and Washington, DC. She was regent of Region 19 twice and Director of Musical Activities for several terms. She was a judge in the Music category, member of the Arrangers Association, and member of the International Faculty, doing music schools in Brighton, England and many regions of the U.S. and Canada.
