What they're saying

"I love the Heart of Columbia Chorus because it has so much to offer.  Thursday evenings are dedicated to honing our musical skills with creative vocal excercises and rehearing fun and lively uptunes and emotional ballads.  The membership is diverse and there is a genuine spirit of sisterhood" - Delphine Bigony

"Rehearsal is one of my favorite parts of the week, and I look forward to it every Thursday.  I am thankful to be part of such  a supportive, caring, thoughful group of women.  HOC truly has something wondeful and unique"  - Caity Homan

Listen to what a few chorus members from around the country have to say about being in organizations like ours:

"It was terrific meeting all of you last night.  You were all so welcoming, and we enjoyed how your friendly spirit was evident in your quartet's song, throughout your chorus rehearsal time, through cares and concerns, and into the management team installation and reception.  The presentation of the quilt to your "graduating" member was truly touching.  It was an incredible experience for us, and we feel privileged to have been part of it.

This coming week, I will be traveling to Virginia for my college (mumble-year) reunion, so I will not be coming to rehearsal.  However, Lord willing and the creek don't rise, we'll rumble up the road the following week.  We were impressed that other chorus members also traveled from some distance but having done the chorus thing before, we realize that there can be challenges to full participation.  We'll probably have some questions about sectionals and choreo rehearsals, singouts, etc., but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.  Thanks again for the warm welcome.  You gals can teach a class or two to SAI on how to welcome chorus visitors ... We gave you an A+."

”Singing is the best therapy for lifting spirits. The music creates a positive healing flow of energy from one person to another and it is a very powerful tool in creating stable mental and physical health. Music is known to reduce stress and balance the spirit.”
Susan Swertfager, South Valley Sound Chorus

“I'm a part of an awesome group of ladies. They work really hard at each rehearsal, but they have so much fun at the same time.”
Patti Bade, Spirit of Harmony Chorus
